Online 24/7 AI Confession Reflection Booth

"The Lord has enlightened our hearts. Let us approach with firm trust in God's mercy."

Notice

Penita cannot replace the formal Sacrament of Penance in the Catholic Church.
It is a preparatory tool designed to help you examine your conscience and pray before receiving the sacrament. True reconciliation and forgiveness are completed through face-to-face confession with a priest.

1. Preparing for Confession

Have you examined your conscience, repented sincerely,
and firmly resolved not to sin again?

Read the Confiteor and Act of Contrition below, then enter the confession booth.

I confess to almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,
(strike breast) through my fault, (strike breast) through my fault,
(strike breast) through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God. Amen.

O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee,
and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments,
but most of all because they offend Thee, my God,
who art all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace
to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. Amen.

Quiet your mind and make the Sign of the Cross to begin confession.

Select the period since your last confession and send it.

Confess your examined sins honestly.

"I am sorry for these and all my other sins which I cannot now remember."

The priest is listening to your confession and meditating in prayer...

Make the Sign of the Cross during the words "Father, and of the Son...", and say Amen at the end.

Praise the Lord.

Go in peace, thanking the Lord for His mercy.

Your confession reflection is complete. You may review the conversation details.
